I have had to delete 500,000 spam accounts, over 1 million posts and 25 million user sessions which you'd normally see on a site as large as Amazon. The database size dropped by 80%. The site should now be more responsive.
In order to combat bot signups I have created a dozen UO specific challenge questions. I will closely monitor registrations over the next few days and if the bots start trickling in, I will have to shut off new registrations and figure something else out.
