Would it be possible for there to be a needs contributors task list on the site? The list would be populated by user submissions but filtered and prioritized by the site administrators. Each task would be broken down to its smallest “bite sized” element. For example, instead of saying that most dungeon pages are out of date or need additional detail, the task listing could look like this:

Task 123456 - Dungeon page Wrong http://www.uoguide.com/Wrong needs updated content as a result of Pub 74 – Medium Priority

Task 123457 - Dungeon page Shame http://www.uoguide.com/Shame needs maps added – Medium Priority

Task 123458 - Bulk Order Deed page http://www.uoguide.com/Bulk_Order_Deeds needs an update as a result of Pub 74 – High Priority

Task 123459 – Develop housing plot maps – Low Priority

By listing what needs to be done and having them in a manageable size, new contributors will be able to make updates with more frequency and ease the workload for the senior contributors.

This is a great idea. Filtering and prioritizing can be done by the users as well and we can also provide hints and tips about how to edit templates, add categories, etc. We need to find a place for this on our main page though (to display the articles that need attention). Tancred Redstar suggested targetted campaigns of content creation previously but we got distracted by some very good news before finalizing the discussion.
